Position Overview
We are looking for a Labor and Employment Attorney with 3+ years of experience handling employment-related litigation and counseling. The ideal candidate will be comfortable advising employers, managing workplace disputes, and representing clients in both state and federal courts. Board certification in Labor and Employment Law is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent employers in litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour claims
- Advise clients on employment policies, compliance, and risk management
- Conduct workplace investigations and provide training on employment best practices
- Draft and negotiate employment agreements, severance packages, and handbooks
- Handle administrative proceedings before the EEOC, NLRB, and other agencies
- Collaborate with a team of experienced litigators on complex employment matters
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar
- 3+ years of experience in labor and employment law
- Strong litigation, research, and writing skills
- Experience with federal and Florida employment statutes and regulations
- Board certification in Labor and Employment Law is a plus
