Job Summary:
The Brazer is responsible for ensuring units are correctly and safely brazed and assembled according to correct manufacturing drawings and specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- 
According to work traveler and work instructions, brazes similar and dissimilar metals, parts, fixtures, valves, assemblies, etc.
 - 
Sets up workstation appropriately, including parts, torch tips, flux, brazing alloys, and any other materials needed.
 - 
Responsible for filing steps to prep for electrical.
 - 
Remove excess braze material on exterior of joints.
 - 
Checks brazed assemblies for any quality issues and performs rework as required.
 - 
Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
- 
Strong ability to follow written and prescribed work instructions/procedures and tasks.
 - 
Attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
 - 
Strong hand and eye coordination with the ability to perform precision work using various hand tools and techniques.
 
Education and Experience:
- 
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
 - 
Technical certification preferred.
 - 
1 to 3+ years of torch brazing preferred.
 
Physical Demands:
- 
Occasionally be required to push, pull and move objects up to 50 pounds.
 - 
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
 
Work Environment:
- 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
 - 
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
 
You should be proficient in:
- Soldering
 - Welding Setups for Production
