POSITION SUMMARY:This Position is for the AM ShiftPerforms administrative leadership and management of the hospital during off hours, weekends and holidays. Oversees patient care and staffing of departments during assigned shifts. Ensures that the objectives and policies of the hospital are followed in accordance with departmental standards. Interacts with administrative personnel from other hospitals and regulatory agencies. Required to work flexible hours as needed to meet the demands of the hospital.CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital. Works with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a courteous, helpful and considerate manner. Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner. Displays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Works with customers to identify problem areas and recommend solutions.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):
- Current Florida RN License
- Current BLS Certification,
- Current ACLS Certification
- Five years progressive nursing experience in an acute care facility
- Experience as a critical care nurse preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Provides oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit management.
- Addresses patient care, staffing, and any other issues that may arise.
- Supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities.
- Leads and directs the work of others. Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Licensure as a registered nurse (RN).
Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.
