Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Technician to join our growing team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will hold an active ASSE 6040 certification and have hands-on experience with the inspection, testing, and maintenance of medical gas and vacuum systems. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform inspections and functional testing of medical gas and vacuum systems per ASSE 6040 standards
• Verify the integrity and operation of piping systems, outlets, zone valves, alarms, and related components
• Document inspection results and testing data thoroughly and accurately
• Identify deficiencies, communicate findings to clients, and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with healthcare facility staff to support compliance and safety initiatives
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ASSE standards, NFPA 99, and other applicable regulations
Requirements
• Active ASSE 6040 certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical gas system installation, testing, or maintenance
• Strong working knowledge of ASSE and NFPA 99 standards
• Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
