Education: B.S. degree, Completion of an education program that meets the standards and is accredited by ACEND through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

Experience / Qualifications
Registration through the Commission of Dietetic Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Florida state licensed.
Minimium 1-year acute-care hospital experience preferred.

Position Summary
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for all patient care activities relating to nutrition. The clinical dietitian's duties include the assessment of the patient's nutrition requirements, development and implementation of individualized nutrition care plans, along with the evaluation and monitoring of care using the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) evidence based guidelines.
Goals set to provide optimal nutrition care to all patients in conjunction with all other disciplines.
Provide accurate assessments and recommendations for patients requiring enteral or parenteral nutrition following ASPEN guidelines. Responsible for comprehensive education of the patient/family, staff and community on all nutrition related topics.
Work with the Diet & Nutrition Services staff to provide high quality, safe and nutritious meals to all patients to encourage healing and a better health outcome.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements, Hand and Wrist (Test both left and right sides)
Grip a dynamometer for 10 seconds with a force > 10 lbs. Pinch together the thumb & forefinger for 10 seconds with a force > 2 lbs. Supported Elbows (Test both left and right sides)
Rotate wrist from left to right while holding 5 lb. weight. Fully flex and extend elbow while holding a 5 lb. weight. Shoulders (Test both left and right sides) Shoulder flexion > 135 degrees while holding 5 lb. weight. Sustain a shoulder shrug for 10 seconds while holding 5 lb. weight in each hand.
Legs, squat. Kneel on a single knee, demonstrated on either left or right knee.
Push and Pull, push a stationary loaded cart with a pushing force of 20 lbs.
Pull a stationary loaded cart with a pulling force of 20 lbs.
Carrying, carry a 10 lb. weight for a distance of 35 feet.
Lifting, Weight lifted during lift test (10 lbs requirement)
Floor to Table Waist to above shoulder height (10 lbs requirement)
LIFTING SAFETY RESTRICTIONS: Floor to table: The subject must lift with head and shoulders first, before hips. Table to mid-chest: The subject is not allowed to lean backwards during the lift.Able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, twist, bend, stretch and turn. Able to lift 10 pounds

Threshold Requirements are required and completed yearly basis, Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation, TB/PPD, Surveillance Program.
Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
