Reimbursement Specialist – Medical Billing & Denials

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309
Pay: $17 – $21/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Type: Temp-to-Perm
Environment: Call Center Setting

About the Role
We’re seeking skilled reimbursement professionals with a strong background in medical billing, denials, and insurance follow-up—especially in DME, CGM, or insulin pump products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into claim details, identifying root causes of denials, and implementing solutions to prevent future issues.

What You’ll Do

• Review and resolve denials, claim rejections, and aging accounts

• Analyze EOBs, denial letters, and documentation to spot errors or missing info

• Conduct insurance verification and obtain required documentation

• Work with HCPCS codes, LCDs, and medical necessity guidelines

• Post payments/adjustments and reconcile remittances

• Handle both inbound and outbound patient/payer calls

• Respond to audit requests promptly and accurately

• Recommend process improvements to reduce recurring issues

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5+ years medical billing, collections, denials, or appeals experience

• 1–2 years DME experience preferred (CGM or insulin pump a plus)

• Strong analytical skills for claim/denial review

• Familiarity with payer guidelines, eligibility issues, and documentation requirements

• Experience with HCPCS codes and Medicare compliance rules

• Comfort in a high-volume call center environment

• PC literate with ability to navigate multiple systems (Microsoft Office a plus)
