Compensation Packages
Local Candidates (Hourly Pay): $40-$46
Travel Candidates (Weekly Take-Home Pay): $1417-$1642

Speech-Language Pathologist Job Duties

  • Evaluate students speech, language, and communication abilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) related to communication goals

  • Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress

  • Adapt and modify strategies to promote student success in academic and social environments

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning

  • Provide education and training to staff and families regarding communication strategies

Federal and State Requirements

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Current and active Florida state license or eligibility for licensure

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered

  • Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

  • Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Florida school districts
