The Front Desk / Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors at the College. This role is responsible for managing the front desk operations, providing excellent customer service, answering inquiries, directing individuals to the appropriate departments, and supporting various administrative tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist all visitors, students, and staff in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and emails to the appropriate departments or personnel
- Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and welcoming
- Schedule appointments and maintain appointment logs
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Assist with data entry, filing, copying, and other clerical duties as needed
- Support administrative staff with special projects and event coordination
- Maintain security protocols by monitoring visitor access and issuing visitor badges
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with College policies
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role, preferrable in educational setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
