This position works closely with Senior Management, Project Managers, R&D scientists, and Engineers on optimizing the design and performance of a patented solution that removes PFAS from water. This role is responsible for developing and executing discrete project plans, including personnel oversight (teams consist of engineers and third-party partners), design development, budget management, and project implementation. The purpose of these projects will be to design, build, and deliver NuQuatic’s innovative treatment technology at the required scale (e.g., bench, in-house continuous flow demonstration, field pilot, and commercial-scale). Additional opportunities can include leadership and mentorship roles of junior team members based on needs and desires of the candidate and NuQuatic.

Essential Functions
- Leading projects to implement NuQuatic’s patented PFAS treatment technology at a variety of desired scales (e.g., lab scale, field pilots, commercial scale). Project leadership activities include project planning, personnel management, design development, budget management, execution delivery, reporting, and client relationship management.
- Coordinating closely with the R&D team working on transferring the results of improvement into designs that can be tested at the bench, field and full-scale (i.e., commercializing & deploying R&D advancements)
- Engaging the functional team with timely flow-down of information and fostering robust collaboration within the team.
- Collaborating and knowledge sharing across the engineering and research & development teams
- Reporting progress on your projects to NuQuatic senior leadership team
- Maintains awareness of each team member’s project responsibilities and performance, providing guidance, and helping them identify resources needed to overcome obstacles and meet project objectives.
- Develops and maintains a working knowledge of applicable design processes, guidelines, policies, and best practices, and ensures that all functional team members are aware of and are compliant with these items.
- Supports and leads engineering initiatives, which could include process improvement, workforce engagement, training material development, technology roadmap development or cross-organization collaboration.
- Provides technical analysis and support to a variety of projects for public and private sector clients.
- Travels to assist in the field with construction, inspections, conducting pilots and full-scale remedial efforts, and participating in face-to-face client, technical, and other stakeholder meetings (travel is as needed, project-based, and is expected to be <20% of role)
- Design, develop, prototype, and test all aspects of treatment system components, equipment, and machinery.
- Leads the development of fabrication drawing and specifications for new parts or prototypes.
- Identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products.
- Uses Solidworks and other design and modeling tools to develop and improve parts and products.
- Conducts analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical or environmental engineering or related field.
- Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience working on complex engineering projects.
- Demonstrated success leading, collaborating, and building teams on complex technical projects.
- Self-motivated, proactive, organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills.
- Professional Engineer license is required.

Location and Reporting:
- This position is full-time and based in our Lakeland Florida facility
Salary is negotiable and dependent upon relevant experience.
