Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician-directed care and RN supervision.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting the Director in planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of psychiatric patients. Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical or employment status or patients and their families. Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and hospital. Participate in Performance improvement activities. Utilize the nursing process to oversee and provide age specific patient care.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
- Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting/moving of patients.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Education & Requirements
- Current Florida RN License
- B.S. Degree in Nursing/Health Administration
- 3-5 years related to clinical field
- 1-2 years management/leadership experience preferred
- CPI Certification
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- BLS/ACLS required
