We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
- Conduct patient evaluations, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Assist in the management of dental office operations, including EMR systems and documentation review.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry practices.
Skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix software is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and infection control standards.
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and provide compassionate patient care.
- Minimum 2 years experience as a dental hygienist
