  • Do you thrive repairing high-value turbine/generator components with exacting TIG welds?
  • Can you read complex blueprints, plan your setup, and keep distortion to an absolute minimum?
  • Are you comfortable moving large parts with forklifts and cranes and partnering with job site managers to get work done safely?

What you’ll do

  • Execute weld repairs and manufacture replacement features on turbine and generator components—primarily TIG, with MIG and stick as needed.
  • Disassemble components methodically; reassemble to spec using drawings and technical documentation.
  • Inspect parts (visual and dimensional) with precision measurement equipment and field measurement techniques.
  • Prep, blend, and restore surfaces—media blasting and deburring included.
  • Operate forklifts/overhead cranes to handle parts and fixtures safely.
  • Keep the workspace clean and safe; strictly follow ARMS and customer safety rules.
  • Support adjacent shop operations whenever extra hands are needed.

What you bring

  • 1+ year of hands-on welding/repair experience preferred; exposure to the power generation industry is a plus.
  • Ability to set up welding equipment and perform precision welds on delicate components.
  • Blueprint/technical spec literacy; clear, concise communication (written and verbal).
  • Mechanical aptitude; able to anticipate workflow changes and organize assignments for throughput.
  • Physical stamina to stand/walk for long periods with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10) preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Open to significant mandatory overtime during peak periods.
