Service Coordinator

Location: Margate, FL
Type: Full Time — Onsite, Monday–Friday
Compensation: $15–$17 per hour, based on experience
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO

About the Role

Our client, a well-established therapy and rehabilitation organization, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Service Coordinator to support scheduling, insurance verification, and communication between therapists, patients, and the care team. This onsite M–F role is essential to ensuring smooth, efficient, and well-coordinated service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Therapist Coordination & Scheduling

  • Coordinate with physical and occupational therapists to assign patient visits based on availability.
  • Manage and update therapist schedules in real time to support timely care.
  • Follow up with therapists regarding visit completion and required documentation.

Insurance Verification

  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage before services are scheduled.
  • Obtain authorizations when required and communicate coverage details to patients and the clinical team.

Patient Communication

  • Serve as the primary contact for patients and families regarding scheduling, service questions, and appointment reminders.
  • Handle changes, concerns, and general service-related inquiries professionally and promptly.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Track therapist productivity, visit status, and outstanding documentation.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of information within EMR and scheduling systems.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with new patient intake and coordination between therapists, physicians, and patients.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and safeguard all patient information.
  • Provide cross-coverage for the Intake Liaison role when needed.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks that support daily operations and patient care.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Self-motivated problem-solver with reliable follow-through.
