Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:
\n
• Work 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM shifts with cardiac call requirements
\n• Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 hour shifts
\n• Minimum 6 call shifts per month required (may increase to 10 if short staffed)
\n• Perform cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures, with other cases when no cardiac surgeries scheduled
\n• Must have strong surgical tech experience with 18 months minimum, 2 years preferred
\n• Strong vascular and CVOR experience required
\n• Float within scope to meet facility needs and to sister facilities
\n• Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA/NCCT preferred but not required
\n• Must be nicotine-free with negative 10 panel + nicotine drug screen within 12 months
\n• EKG and pharmacy tests required during 40-hour orientation with maximum 2 attempts each
\n• Scrub color: Ceil Blue
\n• Epic charting system
\n• Must participate in teaching activities with students and new staff
\n• All RTO must be submitted at time of application
\n• Weekend coverage and call requirements discussed during interview

This 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital provides comprehensive cardiovascular and surgical services. The facility operates 18 surgical rooms with a daily census of 55-60 patients and maintains magnet status recognition.
