Job DescriptionDescription:

At Full Circle Fiber Partners, we take a people-first approach to construction. We know communications infrastructure isn’t just about fiber and towers—it’s about collaboration, integrity, and accountability. We bring more than steel toes and hard hats to the job site; we bring teamwork and a relentless focus on safety. Just as a well-placed network connects a community, a well-organized team powers every project to success. Service excellence, pioneering experience, and a passion for what we do—that’s Full Circle.

Full Circle Fiber Partners is a dynamic organization built on diversity and a commitment to our Core Values: Service Excellence, Accountability, Safety, Integrity, Fairness, and Mutual Respect. We’re looking for motivated and professional individuals to grow with our team. We offer competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, a matching 401(k), and more.

Position Overview

The Planning Manager plays a critical role in coordinating and overseeing all Outside Plant (OSP) construction planning activities across Full Circle Fiber Partners. This high-visibility position will serve as the primary point of contact for project planning functions and will support teams involved in construction and maintenance operations.

This role works closely with senior leadership at Full Circle and with our customers’ field and network teams. The Planning Manager leads a distributed team of project managers and coordinators, ensuring alignment with both customer programs and corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support dispersed project managers and coordinators across planning and implementation teams.
  • Develop and maintain project production reporting using standard project management tools (Gantt charts, Kanban, RAID logs, etc.).
  • Facilitate project/program status meetings, tactical readouts, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
  • Serve as the authoritative source for all project/program statuses.
  • Develop and manage project intake, planning, and disposition processes.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to support project and business goals.
  • Create and analyze performance reporting metrics on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis to track success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff on project planning processes, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project planning or management within the telecom, cable, MSO, or similar industries.
  • Experience leading project managers and coordinators in a telecommunications or infrastructure setting.
  • Strong background in Outside Plant construction and/or network engineering.
  • Familiarity with project financials and accounting.
  • Proficient in PMBOK or similar project management methodologies.
  • Certifications such as PgMP, PMP, or Prince2 are a plus, but not required.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to navigate matrixed organizations and build consensus across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, MS Project, and MS Teams.
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or Confluence is a plus.

Personal Style

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of energy and a passion for project execution, with a strong focus on results and collaboration. Success in this role will require:

  • Leadership with a team-first mindset.
  • Decisiveness tempered by collaborative decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage stress and prioritize in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
  • A data-driven approach and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Willingness to adapt and step outside of one’s comfort zone to meet challenges head-on.

Work Environment

This role is best suited for a professional who thrives in a dynamic, startup-like environment focused on measurable outcomes. The position is primarily office-based, with opportunities for a hybrid work schedule. Expect to work closely with industry partners and contingent resources as part of project execution.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent relevant work experience.
