Position Summary:
The Front Desk Supervisor at Orlando Hand Surgery Associates (OHSA) is responsible for leading the front office team to ensure an exceptional patient experience from check-in to check-out. This role oversees daily front desk operations, including patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and customer service, while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate is an organized and proactive leader who thrives in a busy, patient-facing setting and can balance people management with hands-on support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support front desk staff, including scheduling coverage, assigning duties, and providing daily direction.
• Ensure smooth patient flow by overseeing check-in, check-out, and scheduling processes.
• Monitor and support staff performance through coaching, training, and feedback.
• Resolve patient concerns or front office issues with professionalism and a service-oriented mindset.
• Assist with onboarding new hires and ensuring front desk staff are trained on all systems, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support operational efficiency and improve communication.
• Review and ensure accuracy of insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations.
• Monitor and maintain front office supplies and equipment, submitting requests as needed.
• Uphold HIPAA and FOI policies and procedures to ensure patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of medical front office experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems; Athena experience a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
