Cold Call Sales Associate – County Mattress Sales Program (Remote or Hybrid)

About the Role
Spec-Tex Inc. is expanding our County Mattress Sales Program, which provides durable, U.S.-made mattresses to correctional and county facilities nationwide.
We’re looking for a motivated Cold Call Sales Associate to help us reach new county and government buyers. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong phone skills, persistence, and interest in learning government and institutional sales.
You’ll be the first point of contact with purchasing officers, sheriffs’ departments, and jail administrators—introducing our program, identifying opportunities, and connecting prospects with our sales team.
What You’ll Do
- Make 60–80 outbound calls per day to county purchasing departments and correctional facilities.
- Research county contacts, open bids, and purchasing schedules.
- Record call notes, leads, and next steps in our CRM.
- Coordinate with senior sales staff for follow-ups, quotes, and sample requests.
- Track opportunities and help maintain a growing database of county procurement leads.
- Provide weekly updates on call results and lead conversions.
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication and phone presence.
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach and rejection.
- Organized and detail-oriented — able to track multiple counties and contacts.
- Basic computer and CRM skills (Excel, Google Sheets, or similar).
- Prior experience in cold calling, B2B, or inside sales preferred.
- Knowledge of government procurement or institutional sales is a plus but not required.
