We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shop Helper to join our general aviation maintenance team. As a Shop Helper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hangar, ensuring that the workspace is safe and efficient for our skilled technicians. Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning Duties: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; dust surfaces; empty trash; and clean restrooms, break areas, and other common spaces in the hangar.
- Organizing Tools and Equipment: Ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored and labeled, assisting in maintaining a well-organized workspace.
- Inventory Assistance: Help track and restock supplies such as cleaning materials, shop towels, and consumables used in the hangar.
- General Support: Assist technicians with moving and positioning aircraft, lifting and carrying parts or equipment, and other basic tasks as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, reporting any hazards or issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring the shop is clean and orderly at all times.
- Team Player: Willingness to assist others and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable: Punctual, dependable, and committed to maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
- Interest in Aviation: Previous experience in an aviation environment is a plus, but not required.
