Electrical Estimator - 5+ Years Experience Salary equals $75,000 to $110,000 annually depending on experience

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our project lifecycle by accurately calculating the costs of commercial and industrial electrical projects. You'll work closely with our project management and sales teams to ensure bids are competitive, accurate, and profitable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

  • Blueprint Analysis: Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements and scope.

  • Bid Preparation: Compile comprehensive bid packages and proposals for clients.

  • Vendor Relations: Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities that may impact project costs and profitability.

  • Project Handoff: Collaborate with project managers to hand off successful bids and provide support throughout the project.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in the commercial or industrial sectors.

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of electrical systems, National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, and construction methods.

  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, McCormick) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Blueprint Reading: Exceptional ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical abilities for precise cost calculations.

  • Organizational Skills: Superb attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Education: A degree or diploma in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred but not required with relevant experience.
