Job Details:

• Location: Texarkana, TX

• Setting: Radiation Oncology

• Schedule: 5x8s, Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments and simulation per physician prescription and oncologist instructions.

• Assist in treatment planning procedures including tumor localization and dosimetry.

• Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment.

• Provide patient education, support, and assessment of special needs (dietary, psychosocial, or consults).

• Maintain accurate schedules, records, and weekly chart checks.

• Report variations in treatment set-up, equipment issues, or safety concerns promptly.

• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards for patients and staff.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology

• ARRT (T) registered Radiation Therapist

• Current Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist License (TMB)

• Current BLS certification (AHA only)

• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred (new grads from AMA-approved programs accepted)

• Strong communication skills and computer proficiency
