Job Summary:
The Training & Certification Instructor is responsible for delivering in-person and/or virtual training programs across a range of required certifications, including Professional Crisis Management (PCM), Everyday Behavior Tools (EDBT), CPR, First Aid, and other mandated or professional development trainings. This role ensures that employees receive high-quality, standards-compliant instruction and that all certification requirements are met and properly documented. The instructor also plays a key role in maintaining program integrity, staying current with training protocols, and adapting instruction to meet organizational and regulatory needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver instructor-led training sessions for certifications such as PCM, EDBT, CPR, First Aid, and others, ensuring participants meet learning objectives and pass required assessments.

Stay up to date and maintain instructor certifications in all relevant training programs.

Assess learner performance and provide feedback, support, and documentation to ensure successful certification.

Develop and adapt training materials and presentations to suit diverse learning styles and job roles.

Maintain detailed training records, including attendance, completion status, and certification documentation, in compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Work with department leaders and HR to identify training needs and schedule sessions accordingly.

Provide refresher courses and recertification sessions as required.

Ensure training content reflects current best practices, legal requirements, and organizational policies.

Maintain training equipment, supplies, and materials in good working order.

Support a culture of continuous learning and safety through engaging, interactive instruction.
Qualifications:

Current certification and trainer-level credentials in at least one of the following: PCM, EDBT, CPR, First Aid (must be willing to obtain credentials in additional programs as required).

2+ years of experience in training, education, behavioral health, or a related field.

Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage groups effectively and adjust training techniques based on participant needs.

High level of professionalism and a commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical instruction.

Proficient in using technology to support training delivery (e.g., PowerPoint, video conferencing tools, LMS platforms).

Associate or Bachelor's degree in education, healthcare, human services, or a related field preferred.
