Position Overview:
As a Certified Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining apartment homes and community spaces to ensure safety, comfort, and functionality. You’ll handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and service requests while providing exceptional customer service to residents and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance issues
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on units and common areas
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents (“make-readies”)
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory responsibly
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed (some on-call work may apply)
- Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and property management
Qualifications:
- EPA Certification (Universal) or HVAC card required
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification a plus
- Minimum 2 years of apartment or residential maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair
- Must have basic tools, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks safely
- Positive attitude, dependability, and strong attention to detail
