Job DescriptionCareer Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Design Engineer - Blockchain - this is a fully remote role for US/Europe based candidates.
We are building the next generation of DeFi trading powered by Hyperliquid. Our mission is to democratize access to global financial markets, leveraging the power of decentralised technologies. We are the the largest builder code product on Hyperliquid and have processed north of $50B in cumulative trading volume and hit 8 figures in revenue in the past year.
We are a small, highly technical team of strong individual contributors, passionate about free markets and building ambitious systems from the ground up. You will be on the frontlines of scaling us to millions of traders and responsible for building trading infrastructure and products that process billions of dollars in volumes daily.
What you will do

Own the design and development of delightful, pixel-perfect, and performant trading interfaces that feel magical to use.

Push the boundaries of CSS animations, motion design, and micro-interactions to create interfaces that are both functional and emotionally engaging.

Build and maintain a scalable design system (Figma + React + Tailwind) that enables rapid iteration without sacrificing quality.

Prototype, experiment, and ship high-fidelity UI/UX that balances creativity with real-time performance requirements.

Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to bring new trading workflows from idea → prototype → production at breakneck speed.

Optimize React apps for ultra-low latency, capable of handling hundreds of real-time updates per second without dropping frames.
What you bring

5+ years of frontend engineering experience, with a portfolio showcasing your work (links to live products, Dribbble, GitHub, etc.).

Mastery of React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind (or equivalent modern UI stack).

Deep experience with motion libraries like Framer Motion, React Spring, or similar.

Proven track record of crafting micro-interactions, animations, and transitions that feel effortless but are engineered with rigor.

Strong intuition for visual and interaction design — typography, spacing, color, layout, rhythm, and motion all matter to you.

Ability to operate as a design engineer: you think in both Figma and code, and can rapidly translate concepts into production-ready systems.

High agency, thrive in ambiguous environments, and obsessed with shipping interfaces that delight traders at scale.
Bonus Points

Experience building real-time data-intensive applications (finance, trading, or gaming a plus).

Have optimised React apps to sustain 60fps under extreme load (hundreds of DOM updates per second).

Worked on design systems or component libraries at scale.

Contributions to open-source UI/animation libraries.
