We’re hiring a Director of Vocational Services to lead our growing vocational programs and support individuals on their path to independence.


About the Role:

This leadership role oversees all Vocational Services programs, including On-the-Job Training (OJT), job coaching, employment preparation, and community placement efforts. You’ll guide program strategy, supervise staff, maintain employer partnerships, and ensure compliance and quality outcomes across all vocational initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the Vocational Services department
  • Oversee development, implementation, and evaluation of vocational training programs
  • Manage and supervise OJT staff, job coaches, and vocational personnel
  • Hire, train, and mentor Vocational Services employees
  • Ensure staff performance management, coaching, and scheduling
  • Track, measure, and report program outcomes and job placements
  • Cultivate partnerships with employers, government agencies, and community organizations
  • Advocate for disability inclusion and educate employers on accommodations
  • Oversee department budget, reporting, statistics, and proposals
  • Participate in task forces, committees, IEP/support team meetings, and conferences
  • Provide vocational counseling when needed and develop Individual vocational goals
  • Ensure proper maintenance and auditing of Individual files and data systems
  • Stay current on workforce, vocational, and disability-related trends
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to address staff and program needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (Rehabilitation Counseling, Vocational Rehab, Special Education, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing vocational programs for individuals with disabilities with 3+ in leadership
  • Demonstrated success developing or overseeing vocational training programs
  • Strong knowledge of disability inclusion, workforce programs, and relevant legislation
  • Proven ability to build employer partnerships and achieve job placement outcomes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage staff, budgets, and multiple programs effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with vocational services software preferred
  • Valid FL driver’s license and ability to pass Level II background screening
