Summary

The Network Development Coordinator supports the growth and optimization of the ACO’s provider network. This role fosters relationships with healthcare providers, coordinates contracting and credentialing processes, and ensures engagement aligns with clinical and operational goals. Working within the Clinical Action Team, the Coordinator partners across departments to strengthen care delivery models that improve quality, cost, and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new providers and facilities into the ACO network.
  • Serve as a point of contact for contracted providers regarding participation, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate provider records, including credentialing status, contract terms, and demographic details.
  • Assist with contract initiation, execution, and renewals in collaboration with Legal and Compliance.
  • Track and report on provider participation, engagement, and performance metrics.
  • Facilitate orientation sessions and coordinate training materials for new providers.
  • Partner with internal teams to support provider communications related to quality initiatives and value-based programs.
  • Monitor provider capacity and geographic coverage, identifying opportunities for network expansion.
  • Resolve provider issues related to referrals, access, claims, or care coordination.
  • Contribute to network development strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare provider relations, credentialling, network development, or managed care contracting.
  • Experience in ACOs or value-based care models strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities.
  • Working knowledge of provider contracting and credentialing processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and healthcare data systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Understanding of healthcare delivery systems, provider types, and regulatory requirements.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret provider contracts, correspondence, and regulatory requirements. Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with providers, staff, and leadership.

Reasoning Ability

Applies common sense and sound judgment to resolve provider issues and support network operations.

Computer Skills

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, healthcare data systems, and relational databases.

  • Maintains the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this role, the employee may alternate between sitting, standing, and reaching. Work may require extended periods at a computer. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds. .
