Position Overview
The MEP Superintendent plays a crucial role in overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of multi-family high-rise construction projects. This position is responsible for ensuring that all MEP systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with the project specifications and quality standards while maintaining safety protocols and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in multi-family high-rise projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure timely progress and compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Review and interpret MEP drawings and specifications to provide guidance to field teams.
- Manage and resolve any MEP-related issues that arise during the construction process.
- Ensure that all MEP installations are in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP construction supervision, preferably in multi-family high-rise projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems and building codes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
