Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Drinking Water Project Engineer for our Hollywood office. As part of our design and process teams, you will be working on all phases of drinking water projects, including membrane and ion exchange projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing detailed process mechanical design drawings, project engineering/management, study/planning, operational support with a focus on drinking water projects
• Supporting proposal development.
• Mentor junior drinking water staff.
• Coordination and collaboration with clients.
• Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery.
• Supporting projects to meet client expectations, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Following internal Hazen processes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects for clients.
• Technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments on small to medium projects.
• Performing planning, studies, design, and support of projects through design, construction, and operation.

Required Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
• PE license is required (FL preferred or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of employment)
• 10+ years of experience in municipal water treatment, water quality, water treatment technology, or manufacturing
• Experience in successfully delivering projects spanning multiple years in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
• Proficient in all MS Office based computer software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
• Self-starter with attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Must be capable of presenting complex issues to non-technical people

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Civil/Environmental Engineering
