Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm with Occasional Weekends

POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Nurse Manager is to monitor the day-to-day activities of the assigned nursing station(s). The Nurse Manger is responsible for the coordination, organization, implementing, and review of the nursing services provided to each resident on a 24-hour basis.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
2. Current CPR Certification.
3. Experience as an LPN demonstrating potential administrative and management competence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Performs the functions of a Licensed Practical Nurse in monitoring, organizing, implementing and reviewing the resident care in assigned area.
2. Monitors and appraises work performance of nursing personnel in assigned area in resident care, staff relations and efficiency of service.
3. Assists in collection of data on the health status of the resident, including attention to individual characteristics.
4. Recommends appropriate nursing interventions.
5. Assigns resident care to nursing assistants.
6. Documents clearly, legibly and accurately the nursing care that is provided.
7. Monitors resident’s condition and response to focused interventions; reports significant changes to appropriate designated RN. Completes change of condition appearance and utilizes indirect are paths and resident change of coordinators.
8. Reports significant changes in resident status to designated RN in a timely manner.
9. Gives direct resident care.
10. Administers prescribed medications.
