Psychiatrist(consultation-Liaison - needed in Beautiful coastal South Florida.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients, offer procedures, if applicable.
• Treatment Planning and Management:
Develop personalized treatment plans.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Partner with hospital team to provide comprehensive patient care, admitting and discharging
patient into hospital, if needed.
• Patient and Family Education:
Educate patients and their families on psychiatric conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle
modifications to enhance quality of life.
• Program Development:
Collaborate on developing and expanding psychiatric services in the area.
Call Responsibilities:
• Provider is on call for his/her patients at all times
• Weekend hospital rotations within Provider Group
Qualifications:
• Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited
institution.
• Training:
Completed a residency in Psychiatry
• Licensure and Certification:
o Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Florida.
o Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
o Fellowship in C&L or Neuro Psychiatry
• Experience:
o Strong track record in managing patients with some inpatient hospital experience.
o 2 plus years’ experience in outpatient setting.
• Skills:
o Exceptional diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
o Strong interpersonal communication for effective patient and team collaboration.
o Commitment to innovation, education, and patient-centered care.
o Willingness to grow in outpatient practice.
• EMR:
o Office: Athena
o Hospital: Cerner, soon to be EPIC (in 2 years, tentative 2027)
