Assembly Technician – Electronics & Custom Parts

Location: Venice, FL
Position Type: Full-Time

About the Role

Physiologic Instruments is seeking a motivated Assembly Technician to join our production team. This position involves assembling circuit boards, electronic equipment, and proprietary parts unique to our systems. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, steady hand-eye coordination, and the flexibility to work on a wide range of assembly and production tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components, circuit boards, and custom parts according to drawings, work orders, or supervisor instructions.

  • Perform soldering of small electronic components (resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, etc.) with precision.

  • Press-fit, sand, clean, and prepare proprietary parts for integration into finished assemblies.

  • Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies, including coordinating with approved vendors.

  • Follow established assembly and quality procedures to meet production standards.

  • Perform secondary processes such as epoxy bonding, encapsulating, curing, stamping, and labeling as needed.

  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

  • Assist in final equipment assembly and packaging for delivery.

  • Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot issues and improve assembly efficiency.

  • Adapt to varying daily tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in electronic or mechanical assembly preferred.

  • Proficiency in soldering small electronic components is required.

  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for handling delicate parts.

  • Ability to read and follow work orders, diagrams, and written instructions.

  • Basic understanding of inventory handling and vendor coordination.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Flexible mindset with the ability to shift between tasks.

  • Dependable attendance and ability to work full time in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.

  • Use of hands and arms for assembly, soldering, and handling small tools.

  • Ability to lift and move materials or equipment as needed (typically up to 25 lbs).

  • Regular communication with team members (verbal and written).
