Our well-established Family Medicine practice is seeking a full-time, licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. We are an independent, solo-physician practice that is transitioning to a concierge medical practice model; the PMHNP will be responsible for the care of the practice's non-concierge patients. The successful candidate must be able to work independently in a supervised clinical setting, as the PMHNP will be responsible for the successful management and care coordination of an assigned, primary care patient population. While experience is preferred, we are open to training a new graduate. Our physician is routinely available for consultation, and he encourages good communication

We are the key healthcare team for our patients, from diagnostics and sick visits to chronic disease monitoring and minor surgical procedures. In addition to these services, we offer aesthetic services to help our patients look and feel their best, a weight loss program to support overall health and well-being, and addiction medicine to help those struggling with addiction.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assess patients needs, order or perform tests, interpret results and offer diagnosis and education; order prescriptions and referrals as needed
  • Communicate with supervising physician regarding patient care
  • Manage medications and prescriptions for our addiction medicine patients
  • Chart visit notes in an electronic medical record in a timely fashion

The position is structured as follows:

  • Full-time - daytime only - NO evenings!
  • Every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (will get a day off during the week when work on Saturday)
  • Shared call with provider(s) every other weekend

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current Florida NP License
  • Unencumbered DEA License (within 30 days of hire)
  • ACLS/BLS Certification
  • Self-motivated, directed, flexible and a team player
  • Outgoing and engaging personality
  • Energetic and enthusiastic about career growth and development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to counsel patients concerning medical and psychological/psychiatric conditions, treatment plans, and behavior modification
