We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join our plaintiff-focused law firm. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in workers’ compensation law, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage cases from intake through resolution. This role requires excellent communication with clients, attorneys, and third parties, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of plaintiff workers’ compensation cases from intake through settlement or trial.
- Conduct client intake interviews and maintain ongoing client communication.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Manage medical records, employment records, and other evidence relevant to claims.
- Prepare case files for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Calendar and track deadlines, hearings, and other critical case events.
- Coordinate with medical providers, vocational experts, and investigators as needed.
- Summarize depositions, medical records, and other discovery materials.
- Maintain case management systems and ensure accurate, up-to-date documentation.
- Support attorneys with settlement preparation, lien resolution, and final case closure.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience as a paralegal, preferably in workers’ compensation or personal injury.
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation laws, rules, and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
