Position Summary:

The IT Support Technician (Level 1) provides first-line technical assistance to Club staff, offering support with hardware, software, and connectivity issues. This entry-level role is designed for individuals looking to gain experience in information technology and customer service. The technician will assist with system deployments, account management, troubleshooting, and audio/visual setup for meetings and events. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to delivering excellent service to both staff and members.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line technical support to staff for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Log all support requests and maintain accurate records of troubleshooting steps, escalation, and resolution for future reference.
  • Triage help desk tickets and escalate more complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.
  • Set up and deploy new computers, monitors, printers, and peripherals.
  • Install and configure software, apply system updates, and support patch management.
  • Maintain IT inventory, including asset tagging, deployments, and tracking equipment.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 support, including Outlook, Teams, and Office apps.
  • Manage user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 (password resets, group membership).
  • Support the IT Director in maintaining cybersecurity awareness across the Club by helping staff recognize and respond to suspicious activity.
  • Support iPhones, iPads, and other devices through mobile device management (MDM).
  • Perform basic network troubleshooting, including port testing, patching, and wireless support.
  • Respond to phishing emails and assist users with identifying/reporting suspicious messages.
  • Support point-of-sale (POS) terminals, printers, and shared-use systems.
  • Monitor surveillance camera feeds and connectivity to NVRs.
  • Assist with audio/visual setup for meetings and events (microphones, displays, speakers).
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions in internal systems.
  • Support IT operations at satellite sites as needed.
  • Collaborate with the IT Director on technology rollouts and upgrades.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor.
  • Provide timely updates to end-users on the status of their issues and ensure follow-up to confirm resolution.
  • Demonstrate eagerness to learn, take direction, and grow within the IT field.
  • Participate in regular IT training sessions to build knowledge of new systems, tools, and best practices.
  • Attends meetings as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No supervisor responsibilities.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Position operates in a professional club environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • While performing duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear, sit, or stand in stationary position for extended periods of time, lift, bend, or stoop as necessary.
  • Frequently lift/move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 40lbs.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; coursework or certification in IT, networking, or related field preferred.
  • College student or recent graduate in Information Technology or related program strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of IT systems, networking, and Microsoft environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory preferred.
  • Audio/Visual support experience a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users.
  • Ability to follow direction, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Desire and capacity to learn and grow within the IT function.
