Electrical Superintendent
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily electrical field operations and manage electrical crews
- Coordinate work with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
- Plan and execute electrical installation activities in accordance with project schedules
- Interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Ensure compliance with NEC, local electrical codes, and project requirements
- Enforce safety policies and conduct job-site safety meetings
- Monitor productivity, manpower, materials, and equipment usage
- Identify and resolve field issues, clashes, and design discrepancies
- Coordinate inspections with authorities, consultants, and clients
- Maintain daily reports, manpower logs, and progress documentation
- Support project closeout, testing, and commissioning activities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent
- Strong background in commercial and/or industrial electrical construction
- Thorough knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
- Proven leadership and crew management skills
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA or equivalent safety certification
- Experience with BIM coordination and construction scheduling
- Familiarity with project management software
