We are seeking a Retail Associate to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and services in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue.
Qualifications:
1. Legal Requirements
• Must be at least 23 years old (depends on state/country laws).
• Must follow ID-checking laws before selling tobacco, vapes, or related items.
• No selling to underage customers — this is a strict legal responsibility.
2. Customer Service Skills
• Friendly and helpful attitude when talking to customers.
• Ability to explain products clearly (pipes, cigars, vapes, accessories).
• Handle difficult customers politely.
3. Retail Skills
• Operate a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Keep the shop clean, stocked, and organized.
• Count cash and handle transactions correctly.
4. Product Knowledge
• Learn about different products (tobacco types, cigars, hookah, vaping devices, etc.).
• Understand safety rules (like battery handling for vapes, or storage for cigars).
• Be able to recommend products responsibly.
5. Personal Traits
• Reliable and punctual.
• Honest and trustworthy (handling money and restricted products).
• Good communication skills.
