Job Description

About Us

We are a well-established, residential treatment facility serving adults (18+) with substance use, eating disorders, and dual-diagnoses. Our mission is to provide compassionate, structured care rooted in evidence-informed counseling, therapeutic modalities, and a 12-Step philosophy. We operate 24/7 to meet the needs of our clients in detox, residential, and aftercare programs.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Saturday overnight shift to assist in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our clients during the night hours. The LPN will monitor patient status, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure safety, comfort, and effective care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications safely and accurately per physician orders, including opioid & alcohol detox protocols where applicable.
  • Perform nursing assessments overnight: vital signs, monitoring withdrawal symptoms, observing for behavioral/medical changes.
  • Document all observations, interventions, and client responses in medical records in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Respond to client needs overnight (e.g., emergencies, sleep disturbances, medical concerns).
  • Work in collaboration with on-site staff (RN, physicians, therapists) to escalate care when needed.
  • Assist with admissions/discharges during overnight hours as needed (e.g., intake vitals, initial assessments).
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in clinical areas and medication rooms.
  • Follow facility policies on infection control, safety, confidentiality (HIPAA), and client rights.
  • Participate in overnight team huddles or hand-offs to ensure continuity of care with day shift personnel.

Qualifications

  • Valid Florida LPN license in good standing.
  • Previous experience in residential care, behavioral health, detox, or substance abuse treatment preferred.
  • Competence in recognizing and managing withdrawal symptoms, and ability to escalate appropriately.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, decisive, and compassionate in crisis or emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently overnight with minimal supervision.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification required; other certifications (e.g., CPR) a plus.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Overnight shift SATURDAY (6p-6a or 7p-7a)
  • Competitive hourly wage (commensurate with experience).
  • Shift differentials may apply for overnight hours.
