Position Summary
The General Labourer will play a key role in supporting daily site operations through hands-on construction work and basic logistical coordination. This position requires someone adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while coordinating with supervisors and teams based in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Hands-On Construction Support
- Perform general labour and assist with millwork, metalwork, restoration, and interior finishing tasks
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment
- Conduct site clean-up and maintain safe, organized work areas
- Assist tradespeople as directed and complete assigned physical tasks
Logistics & Site Support
- Receive, store, and organize delivered materials and equipment
- Coordinate basic site logistics such as access, deliveries, and tool availability
- Track materials and notify management of shortages or issues
- Support jobsite setup and breakdown as required
- Communicate daily progress, site needs, and issues to management
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and site-specific rules
- Use required PPE at all times
- Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions promptly
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous construction or general labour experience required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Valid authorization to work in the United States
