Pride Health is hiring a “Specimen Processing- Specimen Technician” to support our client’s medical facility based in Miramar FL 33025. This is a 5-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!


Position Name: Specimen Processing - Pre-Analytical Assistant

Pay rate: $17.20/hr

Location: Miramar FL 33025

Duration: 6-month contract with possible extension

Shift: 7am-3:30pm Tuesday- Saturday.


Job Description: Specimen Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides general support within the Specimen Processing Department in a high-volume production environment.
  • Performs data entry, pre-sort, specimen pickup/delivery, imaging, centrifugation, and aliquoting with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintains strong attention to detail, organization, and compliance with changing laboratory regulations.
  • Works efficiently in a biohazard setting while following safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Meets productivity benchmarks, including fast and accurate data entry (up to 6,000 keystrokes/hour).
  • Demonstrates flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and adapt to changing demands.
  • Communicates effectively with staff, maintains a clean workspace, and upholds customer service quality.
  • Requires high school diploma; basic computer skills required; lab/medical background preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must have reliable transportation, strong English communication skills, and excellent attendance and punctuality.
