Salary Range: $114,400.00 To $170,000.00 Annually

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES – SENIOR STORM WATER/DRAINAGE ENGINEER:

• Knowledge of storm water/drainage design and permitting various types of infrastructure projects.

• Knowledge of project management, including development/management of scopes, schedules and budgets.

• Experience understanding storm water hydraulics, construction and operations.

• Proficient in the use of storm water/drainage hydraulic modeling software such as GEOPAK Drainage, ICPR, HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, ASAD, etc.

• Strong leadership qualities.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Engineering:

• Engineer of Record where needed.

• Makes design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications.

• Perform calculations using engineering formulas and skills.

• Prepare reports and correspondence.

• Serves as a technical advisor and mentor to junior-level project team members.

• Provides Design and Post-design services during construction.

Contract Documents:

• Develop plans, specifications, and reports in accordance with engineering standards and client requirements.

• Leads or participates in the design process to deliver successful projects. Work may include:

• field investigations or inspections.

• Detailed design work and plans preparation

• detailed checks of design computations and plans done by others.

• coordination of specific design elements.

Project Management:

• Plans, schedules, conduct and coordinate technical and administrative activities to deliver assignments that meet client requirements.

Business Development:

• Assists with technical write-ups or other content as needed for proposals.

• Assists with concept development for project approaches, etc. in proposals.

• Participate in project development or business development activities with clients.

EXPERIENCE:

• Twelve 12 years of storm water/drainage engineering experience

• Experience with H&H analysis

• Planning tools like ICPR, CASCADE,XPSwim, stormcard. Water Resources


EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

• For an Electrical License as a Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required or EI Passed and Ability to take and Pass PE exam within 6 months of employment. For PEs, out-of-state PE is acceptable, and Florida PE is required within 3 months of employment.
