Summary Statement: This position is responsible for the implementation, coordination, and revisions to the District’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for the reliability assets in-use or assigned to the Operations Department. As part of these responsibilities this position will be responsible for the assimilation of reliability assets, development of planned maintenance (PM) activities as well as reliability asset disposal. This position is also responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the District’s on-road vehicle fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
•Performs duties as assigned including but not limited to:
- Responsible for the strategic and comprehensive assimilation of Operations reliability assets, development of operation and maintenance procedures, generation of PMs and corrective work orders, etc. into the District’s CMMS.
- Responsible for the implementation, development and periodic review and suggested revisions to the District’s Preventative Maintenance (PM) program for the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and grounds on behalf of the Operations Department.
- Review a minimum of 5 to 10% of Operations staff work order entries, on a monthly basis, to ensure compliance with the District’s CMMS Standards.
- Coordinates and supervises CMMS training and informational workshops for the Operations Department.
- Uses PowerBI and other analytical tools for identification and prioritization of system deficiencies and coordinates with other District departments or outside resources for corrective actions.
- Responsible for setting stock levels for inventoried supplies consumed by the Operations Department as well as maintaining appropriate spare parts for critical process equipment and instrumentation for the WWTP.
- Responsible for the assimilation of Operations reliability assets into the electronic CMMS in compliance with CMMS Standards as published and maintained by the District as well as for proper disposal of reliability assets, when appropriate.
- Manages and coordinates the repair (i.e., corrective) and maintenance (i.e., planned) activities for the District’s fleet of on-road vehicles including all work trucks and vacuum trucks as well as all appurtenant features including but not limited to compressors, cranes, etc.
- Coordinates with Operations, Engineering, Administration, Water Resources and the Lab during the execution of daily work activities, as required to fully implement and maintain the District’s PM program on behalf of the Operations Department and for the management of the District’s on-road vehicle fleet.
- Develop and maintain a District vehicle dashboard that allows District-wide or department-focused review and visualization of metrics and reports on monthly basis.
- Responsible for creating, reviewing, and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) to document relevant responsibilities including equipment PM processes and procedures. Where warranted, shall also coordinate, and provide Staff training related to the District’s CMMS, process/PM SOPs and asset assimilation and disposal.
- Coordinates with Safety for training, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and equipment/vehicle inspections.
- Provides recommendations to the Plant Manager, Chief WWTP Operator, and Maintenance Supervisor for improving data management, technology use, and relevant SOPs.
- Responsible for the management and coordination of specific annual capital projects, as designated and assigned by the Plant Manager.
- Serve as the Operations liaison to assist the Engineering Department with the integration of Operations reliability assets and infrastructure into the District’s geographic information system (GIS).
- Supports the Plant Manager during preparation of the Operations Department expense and capital improvement budgets by developing and using effective analytical tools to evaluate data in the District’s CMMS.
- Ability to perform as Essential Personnel before and following a declared emergency.
•Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a minimum of three (3) years of plant maintenance experience
- Obtained or ability to obtain advanced industrial maintenance reliability training and certifications
- Strong technical aptitude working with electronic database platforms including CMMS and PowerBi
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Minimum five (5) years of practical experience with the use of electronic CMMS
