Location: West Palm Beach, FL (100% Onsite)
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range: $20-$26/hr (DOE)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Warranty Cancellations Specialist to support the accounting and administrative functions of a busy automotive operation. This role is responsible for processing extended warranty and insurance cancellations, ensuring accuracy in billing, reconciliation, and customer/vendor communication. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working fully onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all cancellations of extended warranty and insurance products accurately and promptly.
- Calculate profits and ensure proper billing of all vehicles sold, including setting up receivables and liabilities.
- Collect, verify, and maintain all required documentation for the cancellation process.
- Calculate and process refund amounts with complete accuracy.
- Post all related general ledger entries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile statements and accounts associated with cancellations.
- Maintain clean, organized, and current accounting schedules.
- Respond to customer and vendor inquiries related to cancellations, refunds, or account status.
- Maintain accurate and compliant filing systems for multiple companies.
- Communicate with internal managers regarding financial impacts or discrepancies.
- Support the Accounting Department with additional related duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive accounting, warranty cancellations, F&I, or dealership back-office preferred.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in West Palm Beach.
- Proficiency with computer systems and accounting software a plus.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour
