Work Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Enjoy a 10% shift differential for working the 2nd shift!

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Histotechnologist, you will:

  • Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examination
  • Produce histopathological slides from surgical specimens
  • Section embedded tissue using a microtome and mount sections on microscope slides
  • Conduct immunohistochemical tests on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections
  • Perform routine and special staining procedures
  • Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure quality control
  • Document equipment maintenance and adhere to laboratory policies
  • Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
  • Florida Histotechnologist license (required)
  • Histology and/or ASCP certifications (preferred)
  • Previous experience in histology (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with routine histology procedures and equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a high-volume laboratory environment
  • Comfort with embedding both large and small specimens
  • Successful completion of medical surveillance testing as part of onboarding
