We are looking for a skilled Email & SMS Specialist to take ownership of the design, content and performance of our lifecycle marketing campaigns. This position requires equal strength in creative design, content editing and campaign execution. You will be responsible for planning, building and optimizing emails and SMS that not only look great but also deliver measurable business results.
The right candidate has a strong eye for design and layout, a knack for persuasive copywriting and the technical expertise to execute campaigns across multiple platforms. You will collaborate across the marketing team to make sure every send is visually compelling, on-brand and aligned with our growth goals.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Design and Content
- Design and build email and SMS campaigns that balance strong creative with clear messaging.
- Write, edit, and proof all content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency.
- Produce layouts and visuals that drive engagement and conversions across desktop and mobile.
Editorial Direction
- Translate campaign strategies into compelling copy and content frameworks.
- Edit and refine messaging for tone, grammar, and flow while keeping customer experience top of mind.
- Partner with creative and marketing teams to align copy, visuals, and offers across channels.
Automation and Journeys
- Develop and manage automated flows such as welcome series, cart recovery, post-purchase and reactivation campaigns
- Ensure content and creative within each journey deliver a consistent customer experience
Performance and Optimization
- Track results across open rates, click rates, conversions, and list growth
- Conduct A/B testing across subject lines, creative, CTAs, and copy to continuously improve results
- Provide clear reporting with actionable recommendations to strengthen performance
List and Compliance Management
- Manage segmentation and list hygiene to improve deliverability and relevance
- Follow all compliance standards for email and SMS, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR
Collaboration and Brand Alignment
- Work closely with design, marketing, and content teams to support brand campaigns and promotions
- Contribute ideas on both creative direction and content strategy
- Stay current on email, SMS, and design trends to bring fresh thinking into the program
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years managing email and SMS marketing, ideally in eCommerce or retail
- Proficiency with platforms such as Maestra, Attentive, or similar ESPs
- Strong graphic design and layout skills using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma
- Proven ability to write and edit clear, persuasive, and on-brand copy
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS for email troubleshooting
- Experience with data analysis and reporting to guide creative and content decisions
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with compliance standards for email and SMS marketing
