Your Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Treatment Center in Deerfield Beach. In this role, you will:
- Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages.
- Collect specimens for various tests, including drug screens and paternity tests.
- Ensure accurate data entry of patient information.
- Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients.
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed.
- Travel to additional sites when required.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or previous experience as a phlebotomist.
- A proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
Working Conditions
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM - 6 PM
Work Location: 1192 E. Newport Center Dr, Deerfield Beach, FL
