Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pediatric speech-language pathologist with certification and experience in school settings is needed for a one-year contract position in Key Largo, FL, with opportunities for extension or permanent placement. This role is based within a pediatric outpatient clinic serving children ages 2 to 18, primarily presenting with mild to moderate speech and language challenges.
Responsibilities include providing individualized therapy (no group sessions), focusing on areas such as pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, writing delays, articulation, and support for high-functioning autism. The caseload excludes medically fragile children. The clinician will manage all aspects of the clients speech and language services, including assessments, evaluations, direct therapy, and participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
Key Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or outpatient settings
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Background in managing school-based caseloads (K-12)
- Strong skills in pediatric speech and language therapy, including autism spectrum disorder and pragmatic language development
- Ability to conduct thorough evaluations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams during IEPs
