Full-Time Monday–Friday 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM (with 1 hour lunch break)
About the Role
We are seeking a confident, experienced, and nurturing Lead 3‐Year‐Old Teacher to independently guide a fully potty‐trained classroom of up to 15 children. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured yet playful environment, understands the developmental needs of preschoolers, and can confidently manage a classroom on their own. Consistent weekday hours provide stability and routine.
Key Responsibilities
Classroom Leadership
- Lead a single‐teacher classroom with confidence, ensuring smooth daily routines and transitions.
- Create a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports independence, curiosity, and early learning.
Curriculum & Learning
- Plan and implement age‐appropriate lessons that support preschool milestones, including early literacy, math readiness, social skills, and problem‐solving.
- Incorporate hands‐on activities, creative play, and structured learning experiences aligned with program philosophy and state standards.
Health, Safety & Cleanliness
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Perform light daily cleaning tasks such as wiping toys, tidying shelves, cleaning after meals and maintaining classroom order.
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety guidelines.
Positive Behavior Guidance
- Use patient, consistent, and developmentally appropriate strategies to support cooperation, emotional regulation, and respectful interactions.
- Guide children through conflict resolution and encourage independence.
Family Communication
- Build strong, professional relationships with families.
- Provide daily updates on routines, learning activities, and developmental progress.
Professionalism & Growth
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain required certifications and uphold program standards.
Qualifications (Required Before Hire)
- High school diploma or equivalent (CDA or higher strongly preferred).
- Completion of the 45 Florida DCF Child Care Training Hours — proof required prior to hire.
- Prior experience working with preschool‐age children.
- Ability to independently manage a classroom of up to 15 fully potty‐trained children.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom‐management skills.
- Warm, energetic, and dependable with a genuine love for early childhood education.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
