Position Summary:
The Fabric Cutter plays a critical role in preparing materials for the production of upholstered outdoor furniture. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to specifications to ensure high-quality products. The Fabric Cutter will interpret technical drawings, cut fabric to specific measurements, and maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
· Material Preparation & Cutting:
o Accurately measure and cut fabric according to provided blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, or work orders.
o Use precise markings and cutting techniques to ensure materials meet design specifications.

· Quality Control & Optimization:
o Follow company standards and work instructions to maintain product quality.
o Identify ways to reduce fabric waste and minimize scrap material.
o Ensure compliance with safety rules and production regulations.
· Housekeeping & Safety:
o Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company policies.
o Adhere to safety protocols, using trade tools and equipment properly (e.g., band saws, tape measures).
o Required Skills & Qualifications:
o Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents (blueprints, work orders, sketches).
o Knowledge of math for accurate measurements and material calculations.
o Ability to operate CNC machines and other cutting equipment.
o Familiarity with the tools, equipment, and techniques used in safe fabric cutting.
o Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain physical stamina for extended periods.
o Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Required Skills & Qualifications:
o Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents (blueprints, work orders, sketches).
o Knowledge of math for accurate measurements and material calculations.
o Familiarity with the tools, equipment, and techniques used in safe fabric cutting.
o Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain physical stamina for extended periods.
