About the Position: We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who has five years of work experience in landscape design, landscape estimating, take-offs, plant identification and landscape project management. The Estimator is responsible for ensuring accurate pricing and cost control throughout all landscape construction projects and will oversee the estimating process from the initial bid preparation through contract negotiation.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for landscape construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness in a timely manner.
• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and timeliness.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
• Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle while adhering to budget.
• Review and approve final estimates before submission to clients for accuracy.
• Keep office informed of all changes pertaining to contracts/estimates.
• Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to build a strong rapport and deliver successful outcomes.
• Stay informed on industry trends, materials and labor costs to maintain a competitive edge,
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum of five years as an estimator in the landscape – construction industry.
• Landscape estimating – construction background.
• FNGLA Certification in Horticulture or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of bid preparations.
• Able to manage multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in reviewing project documentation.
