Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Davie, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential community access control post where you will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage entry and exit, and document activity using site technology. You will remain highly visible, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns while delivering service that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative team culture and integrity. This is an armed, driving role requiring a valid driver's license and an armed guard card or license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and deliveries by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor check-in requirements, and security-related policies.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and monitoring authorized vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
  • Monitor cameras, intercoms, alarms, and other access control systems and report suspicious activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when appropriate and coordinating with property management.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, amenities, parking areas, and the property perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
