Job Description
Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Licensing Requirement:
Applicants must hold valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, RID, or equivalent) and meet Florida state requirements to work in a school setting. Prior experience in educational interpreting or working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students is strongly preferred.

Job Description & Duties:
As a School Sign Language Interpreter, you will:

Facilitate communication between students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing and their teachers, peers, and school staff.

Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and activities using American Sign Language (ASL).

Support students access to the curriculum and ensure they can fully participate in both academic and extracurricular activities.

Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to foster student growth and success.

Provide interpretation during school meetings, events, and assessments as needed.
